Outreach Initiative is a South Sudanese non-governmental, non-profit organisation working to improve the lives of people affected by conflict, displacement, poverty, injustice, and climate-related emergencies.
Through locally informed and community-centred programmes, we promote peace, protect human rights, expand access to justice, empower women and young people, and help vulnerable communities rebuild with dignity.

Even in the most difficult circumstances, lives can be rebuilt, communities can recover, and peace can take root.
Across South Sudan, families continue to experience the effects of conflict, forced displacement, poverty, violence, inequality, and climate shocks. Yet within these same communities, we encounter extraordinary courage, resilience, and determination.
Outreach Initiative works alongside communities, local leaders, government institutions, civil-society organisations, and development partners to respond to urgent needs while addressing the underlying causes of vulnerability and instability.

Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
We facilitate community dialogue, reconciliation, conflict prevention, and social-cohesion initiatives that help communities resolve differences peacefully and rebuild trust.
Rule of Law and Access to Justice
We support legal awareness, access to legal assistance, accountable governance, and stronger formal and traditional justice systems.
Human Rights and Protection
We promote human-rights awareness, monitor and report violations, and support women, children, survivors of violence, and other vulnerable groups.
Return, Reintegration and Recovery
We assist internally displaced persons, refugees, and returnee communities through resettlement support, livelihood initiatives, housing assistance, and social-cohesion programmes.
Women and Youth Empowerment
We provide skills development, entrepreneurship support, leadership opportunities, mentorship, and advocacy platforms for women and young people.
Climate Resilience and Disaster Preparedness
We help communities prepare for disasters, adapt to climate change, strengthen environmental conservation, and develop more resilient livelihoods.

Rooted in South Sudan
Outreach Initiative is headquartered in Juba and works across South Sudan, particularly in states and communities most affected by conflict, displacement, poverty, and climate shocks.
Our national outlook allows us to respond to immediate humanitarian and protection needs while supporting long-term peace, resilience, and sustainable development.
Why Our Work Matters
South Sudan is rich in culture, resilience, natural resources, and human potential. However, prolonged conflict, displacement, poverty, weak infrastructure, inequality, and climate-related emergencies continue to leave many communities vulnerable.
We believe lasting progress requires more than short-term assistance. It requires communities to have access to justice, protection, economic opportunities, functioning infrastructure, inclusive leadership, and peaceful mechanisms for resolving conflict.
